Team Greyhound is looking for short-term and long-term foster placements in Central Ohio. An ideal foster family will…

  • Be located in Central Ohio and able to transport their foster to OSU Veterinary Medical Center for medical care.

  • Agree to follow veterinary aftercare instructions for their foster, including follow-up visits, administering medication, and abiding by exercise restrictions.

  • Have experience working with greyhounds.

  • Demonstrate patience and consistency as these racers adjust to the retired life.

Perks of Fostering a Greyhound

  • It is a great first step to help determine if you would like to adopt.

  • Team Greyhound and 4 Legs 4 Hounds coordinate the medical care and lend the supplies needed for a successful fostership. We will make sure you are provided the necessities, such as a crate, food, medication, leash, martingale collar, and muzzle.

  • You can often call first dibs on that greyhound if you decide you would like to adopt.

  • You will be providing much needed stability, guidance, and support for their transition into home living and retirement.
